Sewing Classes
Join a sewing class and be inspired to develop new skills in the company of like minded people.
Classes are suitable for all abilities; the beginner, the intermediate sewer, or the confident sewer who is wanting to learn more advanced techniques and refine their construction skills and knowledge.
Class Structure
Classes are ongoing and do not follow a set program but are flexible so that the requirements of each student is met.
Sewing Ability
Classes are made up of students with mixed sewing abilities. Classes are small so you will have individual attention.

A lot of skills are needed to successfully complete a project. Its not just being able to use a sewing machine but also having the ability to cut correctly, interpret the sewing instructions, being able to manipulate your work under the sewing machine and finally, using techniques that give your project a beautiful finish.
I teach all these skills in my classes.
Sewing Patterns
Learn how to use and understand a sewing pattern. Develop a knowledge of textiles and become confident when selecting fabric.
Fit and Alter
Learn how to achieve a great fit.
Using pattern making techniques, learn how to easily and correctly alter your patterns.
Techniques
Learn fashion industry shortcuts which eliminate hand sewing and achieve a professional finish on your garments.
Beginners
Beginners are encouraged to work on my beginner projects. Designed for the absolute beginner, we cover the essential sewing skills needed when you are learning to sew. Start with a bag, cushion cover or pajama pants.
Experienced
If you are a confident, experienced sewer you are offered the opportunity to learn basic pattern making techniques. Learn to alter your patterns, make design changes and create your own unique piece.
